Can not upgrade RB1100Dx4 to 6.42 due to double package installation

Hi,

I accidentially installed the hotspot.npk. Now I have it twice, one bundled and one additionally installed.
Trying to disable one or both, to uninstall them or to reset the configuration does not help.
I loaded the 6.42 packages onto the disk’s root directory and rebooted, also via Downgrade.
6.41.4 did not make any difference.

The RB1100Dx4 stucks on 6.42rc56. Any idea how I could get rid of the double installation or upgrade to final 6.42?

Thanks,
dksoft

Solved, netinstall did the trick.

It should not be possible to install double packages. Did you installed second package in one of the RC versions?

I tried with 6.42rc56 and 6.42. It’s no problem to additionally install the hotspot.npk even there is already the bundled one installed.

Facing the same problem on rOS 6.42.3 with extra IPv6 package which was added without restrictions and promts while “native” one was disabled some time ago.
Now, i can’t uninstall extra IPv6 package, disable it…

I made this mistake too an I can confirm mikrotik install bundled package again and then uninstalling, disabling, or upgrading package will not work. It’s a bug
