Can RB711 be used in place of RB411/R52

Hi

I would like to join our local WUG (wireless user group, see http://www.wug.za.net) and the sysops and admins all require the use of RB411 class devices - maybe for easier config of new stations? Regardless, the RB711 with integrated RF has better pricing and I was wondering if anyone might know of a reason that the RB711 could not work in the place of the RB411 device.

Can work same. It depends on the frequency, and the configuration is the “same” in both cases. Depends on the model.. but its almost same.

I will purchase the unit and give it a try. Will let you know how I experienced the configuration. I have a friend who had setup a RB411 - we’ll get his comparative opinion too

copy paste a /export of the 411

and I can leave all the code to copy paste in your unit and get it configured.
