Can’t seem to get anything working

Hello, I am new to the forum so sorry if I’m not posting right.

I recently purchased a crs326 with two cAP ac for a small business. We are using spectrum as the provider and I cannot seem to get it to work. AT ALL.
I need to setup two wireless networks as the two APs acting as clones but providing different coverage space.

Let me know what details you need to help me solve this. We are currently without internet so I’d like to try and resolve this quick.

You want 2 different networks?

Like a main and a guest with different IP scopes?
Then you need a router.

The 326 could run caps man and function as the controller if you simply want both access points to have the same SSID and bridge to the same address Scopes, being handed out by the spectrum router.

@Monarchistt, before you ask: yes, CRS326 does run ROS and can do all different tasks router has to do. But at very low speed unless many different details align.
So while post by @gotsprings above is not technically correct it does outline common reality.

Technically the 326 could be the router… Hell the capAC could be the router…

But TECHNICALLY… He still needs a router.

It’s a matter of what he wants to “make” the router.

@gotsprings: if you haven’t noticed, I wasn’t criticizing your post, I was only answering OPs next question in advance

We’ve had plenty of people on forum triping on the “R” part of the CRS acronym failing to notice that the accent is (or should be) on “S”.

And without aligning the details it would be better router than CRS326 …

I have used a cap AC as a router in a pinch.

It confused the hell out of the field techs when they saw the feed from the modem going to the cAP AC… Then a feed back to the switch.

When I showed up onsite there was a hAP AC lite sitting there. That wasn’t gonna do it. So I got creative.

But it ended that whole… “Can we plug things directly into the router rather than the core switch?”
