Can this is be achieved using CRS Switch or any 2011 or 3011 ?

Hi, Im going to cover a new town whose radius is 11km circular fiber laying calculated distance.
And in every 3 km, we have a POP with Switch and power.
So, its like 4 POPs for the whole 11km radius.

Now, in each POP we have wireless tower and customers conencted from those towers.

All 4 towers are done p2p with my main DC tower and wireless is working perfect.
But we have new set of customers in this area, for whom we need to deliver speeds like 50Mbps and 100Mbps.
And wireless cannot handle it concurrent.

So, we are looking to place a microtik in each POP tower and run a fiber core for the whole circular radius.
So the idea is,
each Microtik will have 2 uplinks, one fiber and one wireless p2p, but both ports on RSTP, and fiber port with low cost, means fiber always on priority.

So, that way, all of my POPs will be powered by fiber and it will be a ring, means if a fiber gets cut from one, then the POP still gets the internet from the fiber from other end.

And if a POP gets fiber cut from both ends, then the wireless backup keeps the internet live.

So, can this is achieved ?

Sounds like yes. But have you considered the advantages of routed network over the bridged? Remember that RSTP is not implemented in the switch but in the software only so you have to use bridges. That takes your performance effectively down. May easily happen that 2011 will not be able to handle the traffic…

You mean, instead of flat network, better to install a Microtik Router in each POP and let it talk to the DC core Microtik router OSPF ?

Exactly.
Just to think about it.

Okay thanks, will surely plan for it.
