can we configure 2 port with same IP address but with diffrent "Distance" value ?

Hi,
I am newbie to routing and networking I have a basic question.
Router : MikroTik RB750GL
For above router if I assign same IP address for 2 LAN port’s say for example ether3 and ether4 but while configuring these port if I assign
“Distance” value 0 for ether3 and
“Distance” value 7 for ether4
And if I try to access machine on these port the port which is having smaller distance value will be accessible.
Is my assumption valid?
Please guide me.
