Cannot access Groove 2hn once setup for Wireless

We have wireless internet, due to distance we use a Groove 2Hn with a Parabolic Antenna, problem I’m having is accessing the Groove after it’s been configured for the wireless.

I have a script from the Network Admin for setting up radios, I used it to setup the Groove and it worked quite well, but I no access via Winbox or the WebConfig Tool @ 192.168.88.1

I believe he mentioned before something in the Groove locked him out after it was connected to the AP. Is there any way to gain access?

We been having some difficulty with signal fade, at least I’m guessing that’s the problem, but I can’t get into the Groove to see what it says is going on. LED’s on the Groove show 4/5 bars. Spoke with the Admin yesterday, everything looked good on their side of the network.

Any help?

Thanks

Do you “see” it with the DUDE software?

When connected to the LAN port on the POE while running the dude I see lots of address, my IP is 10.4.4.31 and the Gateway is 10.4.4.1, which I do see in the Dude but still can’t access it.

If you see in in theDude, then you could access it.
Do you see for example after the address /32 , /24 etc?

Hmmmm…if you can’t access it by remote, maybe you HAVE to go there and access it topical through a LAN cable direct to it.

I am directly wired to it.

The Groove is up on a hill, powered by POE, POE to Radio, LAN to House, I was plugged into the Lan port so it’s directly wired to the radio.

Winbox discovers it and the AP’s, but when I try to connect it just times out, immediately.

I can bring up the WebConfig for the AP, but I don’t know the password…

Ohhh…this is also happing to me some times.
I figure out that most of the times, happens when there are two IPs into IP adrresses panel of the Mikrotik device. For example: 192.168.88.1 and the one that I have given to it.
I don’t know why this happens. :frowning:
When I find - directly LAN plugged - the device with the winbox and pick it to contact with it, a small pop up window comes out and writes down something like: connection time out with a red X.
Some times to solve this, I had to MANUALY put the IP and the subnet into my Laptop’s Lan card to match the IP of my Mikrotik device and not leave it in AUTO.
In this way, I could go in.

P.S. Have you tried with Firefox to get in?

Ok so you’re saying to give my PC the same address as the Groove? 192.168.88.1?

I have tried other static address, 192.168.88.2 with 88.1 as the gateway and still no luck…

And no I don’t have FireFox on any of my computers… I use Chrome or Opera.

Not the same - like you wrote: 192.168.88.10 for example OR the 10.10.xx.xx that you may have.

ALSO - TheDude what address does it show you from it?

With the Chrome, can’t you login?
