I have an ftp server hosted on my Desktop PC. I configured the router to always give the PC the ip 192.168.88.254.
When I access it from the same pc by typing in Chrome address bar ftp://192.168.88.254 it takes me to the ftp server page. But if I try going to the same address from my mobile phone/ tab which are connected to the same router, the page doesn’t load. What do I need to do so that I can use the ftp from my phone?
I am a total noob about routerOS sorry. Any detailed help will be much appreciated.
Is your phone on the local network? What’s the IP addresse of your phone currently? Can it connect to the internal network via WiFi. Pls ensure the issue of local connectivity is resolved for the phone to be able to access the ftp server.
Turns out windows effin firewall was blocking the connection. Disabling it solved the problem
