Cannot change out of bridge mode

Hi.

I attempted to configure my RB2801 as a bridge a while back and gave up on it. I have now tried to set it back to WISP AP, and while I have managed to get most of the settings to save (I have to reboot after each change or they don’t stay configured) but every time I log back in either via WinBox or IE/Chrome etc. the system has reset to Bridge.

I really don’t want to have to reset the config and start again, as I have quite a few firewall rules - that have remained despite the main system not wanting to change to AP. The PPPOE won’t connect either, and the CPU is at 100%

Firmware is at current level, and RBOS is current too.

I suppose a wireless AP can be looked at as a bridge between wired and wireless network.

I’m trying to revert the configuration back to the WISP AP mode that it used to use to connect to my ISP, but after each restart the config has gone back to BRIDGE.
