Cannot connect Mikrotik hAP Lite web interface after trying to put it in Etherboot mode

Hi everyone,

I was trying to put it in Etherboot mode to reinstall RouterOS over network with netinstall, I haven’t got the router listed in Netinstall and now is not working as usual, I haven’t internet access.

EDIT: Well, the problem was apparently that I was following your documentation and I’ve modified my IP to the static one that you suggest (192.168.88.2) but I was using before a different one (192.268.88.254 I think) and also I’m not sure if I assigned manually that static IP to my MAC interface, but the point is when I’ve switch to obtain automatically the IP is working again, However … I cannot still open the web interface in 192.168.88.1

This is the exact model:

but the mine has a button on top called ‘mode’ which I haven’t idea what does.

Well, I’d like to know why I cannot access to web interface and … How really I can turn on the Etherboot mode, because I was trying to do it following the handbook but apparently is not working because as I’ve said, Netinstall is not listing the router

I’ve tried the third one which I guess is the right one to put it in Etherboot mode.
Also… What’s that ‘mode’ button for?

EDIT2: Well, apparently after those resets the RouterOS has been able to upgrade by itself, so I guess I don’t need Netinstall anymore, however… I would like to know how could I use it properly with this Mikrotik hAP Lite … and Also … I would like to know why before apply the backup I couldn’t use 192.168.88.1 as entry point for web interface (I’d have to use 192.168.1.10, which luckily was in the main router web interface)
