cannot find the WLAN interface

hi,

today my RB411 rebooted and since then the WLAN interface has disappeared.

i am using a R52Hn card in the WLAN slot

any idea what could have happened? and also how can i verify if the card is responding?

what ros do you use? it might be broken?

now this is a new thing this time!!!

i have 2 SEXTANTs and i installed 6.15 which also installed the new Wireless-FP package. the connectivity speeds were very slow and hence i disabled the Wireless-FP package and rebooted.

now the Wireless package is also disabled and refuses to get enabled. i tried everything possible but it refuses to get enabled and hence my WLAN interface has disappeared…

when i try to reinstall the packages it also says in the log that the packages are already installed

man… i am badly stuck…

Enable wireless-fp again. Then set a fixed value for tdma period size. You can then go back to wireless package and it will work.
I had the same issue after reverting back to wireless package if tdma period size is auto. This issue affects only some rb models and is reported.

now when i am trying to install the wireless and wireless-fp package the LOG says its already there but still cannot see it in the System->Packages menu… just too confused now???

For me this is a configuration problem with this value between the two packages.
Maybe a reset-configuration will help (if the board is in a place where you can reach it after).

i finally did netinstall and reverted back to version 6.13 its become quiet stable but i found the following strange thing.

both units are just 50 meters apart and still check their signal strength.

It seems like something is broken also to Your last image. no antenna Connected?

its a SEXTANT hence antennas are there by default.

It can still broke. Its common to burn chip, bad coax etc.

I’ve gotten the same thing on a RB800. Sometimes after a reboot there are no wlan interfaces (even though the cards show up in Resources).
