Cannot get bridge working

Hi there,

I have just received my first 2 RB333’s with 3.0rc13 on them. I have attempted to create a bridge between ether3 on each rb333 over the R52 wireless interfaces in each. I have followed the guide on the Wiki but so far I have not been successful.

I have UNIT-A’s R52 configured as a “bridge” and have WDS configured into the bridge “wds-bridge”
UNIT-B has it’s R52 configured as a “wds-station” and is part of a bridge called “wds-bridge”
Each bridge is configured with a unique IP in the same subnet and can ping itself.

The link comes up and an extra interface for WDS appears on UNIT-A, but I cannot ping accross the link. e.g. UNIT-A’s bridge IP is 192.168.69.1 and UNIT-B i 192.168.69.2 but I cannot from from UNIT-A to UNIT-B

Can anyone tell me where I might have gone wrong and point me in the right direction ?

Once i have this tackled I need to move up to getting VLAN’s to pass over the bridge.

just want to know is that opther WDS that is aded on unit A , is that WDS also added to the bridge

Hi,

try to put MAC address of remote WDS in wireless>connect list and in access list. And the same for remote mikrotik.

Thanks,

Once I have had a coffee I will try your suggestions.

Hi!

it works?

American coffee jajaja.

Yes! Thanks guys, this works good.

It obviously needs it in the access list to start forwarding packets.

No, not American coffee, I am down in New Zealand we get the strong stuff.
