I just bought this routerboard 532 with routeros installed already, I tried neighborviewer and it does not detect it so I tried serial cable connecting to my port and setting up the datarate and parity but still no login page on hyperterminal,
here i attached a photo from my cable showing its diagram, (it suppose to be null-modem cable)

btw: the blue and orange and Lan1 leds are all blinding like twice a second.
Have you reference a null modem cable pinout diagram.

Also make sure that you turn the flow control off.
setting should 9600 8N1 if IIRC.

The RouterBOARD manual has a known-to-be-good full null-modem cable pinout. I have a cable made after that design on my desk, and it is working flawlessly (if it does not, try playing with flow-control option of your terminal program). Also, for the RB500, the default bitrate is 115200.
after all changing diagram it still has problem to login and I called the reseller and they told me if the orange light stay on, it means that there is a hardware problem and there is one chip on the board next to the memory which is very small (around 5mm) it will get extremely hot
