Cannot ping devices from VPN

Hello everyone,

I have two mikrotik routers on my network one is connected to the the internet with a local subnet of 192.168.1.x and the other is connected to the above. The second router has a LAN on it with subnet 192.168.88.x. On the first router i have also setup a VPN with L2TP and ipsec.

My problem is that i can ping the 192.168.88.1 which is the IP of the second mikrotik ip on the wlan interface and i cannot ping the devices in the 192.168.88.x subnet. I have attached the configuration files of both routers, is it something that i am missing..?

Traceroute is always a good start. Run it and see where your packets get stuck. Then check routes on all devices.
