Cannot remove non functioning Active PPP connection

Routerboard CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ routeros v6.44.3

Router has around 400 active openvpn connections (all with unique secrets) with a profile that does not allowe duplicate connections.
In the last few weeks as we add more connections we noticed that when the communication stops working the active connection is not removed from the list. The connection cannot be removed via winbox or console command, there is no error when doing remove when you switch tabs back to the active connections the removed connection is still there timer is going from the old value.

When we reboot the router all the connections establish as expected and work OK until the connection drops again.

This keeps hapennig every few days, and the only solution we found is to reboot the router. We also updated the router OS to 6.46 it did not help.
