Let me make a long story short.
I have a hapac2. I lost my password. I reset my router and update its firmware to the latest dated Feb 21, 2020
I restore my backup and the system asked my to restore and reboot. I made a mistake and click on OK.
After reboot the system asked for password which I lost it before.
I tried to reset it again.
It does not work, I follow the procedure. I tried many times. However now even I cannot ping the router with default IP address.
Please help.
Try Winbox.exe to connect using the MAC address. Use an ethernet cable. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Winbox
If that fails try Netinstall. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Netinstall
Yes, you are right. I figured it out two hours after I post my question.
After assigning a new IP address to the router I must setup everything manually.
It is good, I am learning.
It is bad, I have to spend too much time to find a solution.
