Under the system/packages menu on RB450G. When I press ‘download’ or ‘download & upgrade’ I get following error:
ERROR: missing routerboard-6.22-mipsbe.npk
what can be the cause. And how to fix it?

Again and again the same questions. Can’t you search before you ask? Download the latest mipsbe all packages zip file, extract the packages you want, copy them into router and reboot.
- I did a quick search & didn’t find the solution.
- If this question is being asked so many times that you’re getting frustrated answering it, lets suggest Forum Admin to make a sticky note of it.
Did you what I suggested? Has it helped?
It is fault of mikrotik what they write on their main download page http://www.mikrotik.com/download. They should clearly state there that it is not possible to use single click automatic update procedure from lower major (5.x) to 6.x.
Then we would not need to read and answer the same questions again and again.
At least they write in the release notification e-mail this sentence (but not all administrators are receiving it):
If you already run some RouterOS v6.x version, simply click “Check for updates” in QuickSet, Webfig or Winbox packages menu.

It is not enough selfexplanatory as it does not say what others should do …
On the other hand, you are obliged to read manual before doing any changes. Have you read this:

I have issue trying to update rb1200 from 6.0beta2 version to 6.23 verson,
I have downloaded the correct package from the page, I did unzip the file and copy to option File into Mikrotik rb1200 using winbox, when reboot the Rb1200 no updated.

I resolved the problem in the following ways:
manufactures a console cable, buy two female terminals and UTP cable (8hilos)
putty application for terminals (terminal windows are frizaba)
via console (putty configured for com1) between the router and configure it to do the boot for network card
then I could PLS the NetInstall application
install the new version of Firmware
then set to do the nand boot again
everything is working smoothly
