Can't acces by pptp

I had a working PPTP tunnel to my home network. Today I needed to access My home Network from a new device and I simply couldn’t connect. I tried a couple of times before I gave up. Half an hour later I tried from my phone which I know should works..failed.
When I came home I rebooted my mikrotik in case I’ve been locked out due to too many tries. It didn’t help either.

Is there a possibility that I can have been locked out when trying different passwords? Shouldn’t a reboot solve this?

Any ideas?

Was your “new device” by any chance an Apple device? Shortly after PPTP was deemed insecure, the propeller-heads at Apple unilaterally decided to remove all support for it from their OSes, so now you cannot access any networks that still offer only PPTP interfaces.
