Can't connect to 192.168.88.1 and winbox wrong username

Hi

So i have purchased a MIKROTIK SXT LTE kit and for some reason for the first day i can’t log into 192.168.88.1. Then i try to connect by winbox using mac adress or ip adress and he said “wrong username and password”. Reset button on the router seems not work, i’m try to resetting and nothing.
What’s the problem?

How are you trying to reset? You can’t just push the reset button with MT.

Are you deploying this to a public facing connection straight away? Try resetting (properly) then connecting only your computer to the device, ensure you use a decent admin password in doing so.

To reset you need to hold reset button in with device off, power device up whilst holding reset and then wait for USR light to flash before letting go of reset button, unit will beep if it has beeper then give it a minute or 2 to reset.
