First of all, I’m not an expert in networking and it’s the first time I configure a MikroTik router.
Right now my router is bricked (for the second time) and I can’t access the management page, I read a lot of posts regarding this issue and here’s what I tried :
- I tried setting my IP in the 192.168.88.0 subnet but I can’t ping 192.168.88.1
- I tried doing a hard reset and used WinBox to connect to the router, it was successful the first time (via a MAC address), but right now even that doesn’t work
- I even tried using netinstall to update the firmware but the software doesn’t detect it at all
I’m really desperate and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
The first time it happened after I ran this command I found in a tutorial : /system reset-configuration no-defaults=yes skip-backup=yes
And after accessing the management page via WinBox I saw that the IP address was 0.0.0.0 (I guess it was because of the no-defaults flag ?)
The second time, it happened after I disconnected the power supply, and since then I can’t connect to the router.
