Can't connect to my router anymore

Hello everyone!
I have Mikrotik RB4011iGS.
It was working just fine until I’ve changed my internet provider from the one who is using PPPoE to the second one who is not using PPPoE.
I had troubles making it work as router was trying to connect using PPPoE.
The provider’s support told me to switch to dynamic IP addressing.
I’ve successfully logged in via Winbox and then in CAP (Quick Set) I’ve changed Address Acquisition from static (192.168.88.1) to Automatic.
And now I cannot connect to my router anymore.
The green light for the connected Ethernet port is glowing but that’s all.
I had Neighbors feature disabled, and custom port selected.
Please, help. What can I do to be able to login via Winbox?

Resetting the router may help, but it is highly undesirable as I don’t have the most recent backup, unfortunately…
Is there a chance to connect to the router using Winbox?

If IPv6 is enabled, you can connect using the link local address.

You shouldnt be making changes to your config using quickset again…
Winbox was accessible only through that port ?
But how about telnet?
Webfig ?

Zacharias,
Yeah, that was my mistake. From now on I will think twice before making new changes.

Winbox was accessible only through that port ?

Yes.

But how about telnet?
Webfig ?

All services except Winbox and Mobile App Protocol were disabled for security reasons. Now I understand that I’ve made my life harder thanks to this.

I’m going to try link local address as IPANetEngineer suggested above.
I’ve asked my friend who works as a DevOps Engineer, and he suggested me to reset the router as it would be the easiest option, and then enable Neighbor discovery and make backups more often to prevent situations like this.

Your other option would be to use the RJ45 serial port, console in with the proper serial cable and USB adapter and re-enable mac-telnet from the CLI.

It’s not Winbox, but you wouldn’t have to wipe the config. If the config is very brief, that may be the easiest though.

I converted my router’s E01 MAC address here:
http://www.sput.nl/cgi-bin/cgi-llmac
and got Link-local address.
But when I try to connect to it using Winbox, I get a red message: “ERROR: invalid address - …”.
I’ve tried also(my custom port) with the same result.
Could you point me to some manual on how the address should be formatted? Thank you for your help and patience!

I ended up resetting the router and restoring the most recent backup
