Cant connect to router at all

I feel dumb for even asking but is there some trick to this?

I have beat my head against a wall for an hour now trying to get this to work I plug a cable in I have tried all ports at this point and winbox will find the mac address I see it I click it hit connect with username admin and gives me error wrong username or password. I have factory reset there is no sticker with a password on it I have tried hooking it up to my current router to pull and IP and nothing. also yes I have tried web browser with default IP http and https tried everything on every startup guide I could find.

First time with Mikrotik gear so maybe I’m missing something.

I have also tried netboot and the instructions on that it would not detect the router tried at least 5 times.

I have now also tried just consoling in with admin and no password and nothing.

Brand new router got on Thursday of last week

Router is: ccr2004-16G-2s+pc

There are off-factory only 2 options for account/passwd:

1- admin /
2- admin / password from sticker

If you got the response on option 1 with invalid passwd, there is already a passwd set.
If you did full reset and it still does this, there should have been a passwd on a sticker.
Have a good look on all stickers on that device, that passwd is sometimes VERY small.

If all still fails, try to contact your vendor, they should have access to a database with all passwds from the devices they sold.
Or have the device swapped.
