Can't connect with serial console to 433AH

Greetings to all.
I am trying to connect with Null Modem Cable to my 433 routerboard but without success. Although i can see the boot menu and the login screen, i can’t send commands through my keyboard of my terminal.

I have set Flow Control to None, baud rate to 115200, 8 N 1 both on routerboard and my terminal.

When i plugged rb532 it all worked fine since Hardware flow control was enabled.

I read somewhere that 4xx series do not support hardware control.

Anybody got a solution on how to connect with serial? (as far as i have searched this forum, i couldn’t find anything)

Thanks in advance,
F

Are you sure your null modem cable is good? Maybe your tx wire is bad. Test the cable with another routerboard that worked before.

I have used my laptop with a serial cable and many different RB4xx RouterBoards and never had a problem. My laptop has a serial port. Does your’s or are you using a USB to serial adapter?

115200, 8 N 1 as you said and no flow control.

Tom

Indeed Tom, I also have the RB433AH and I works fine like with that configuration..

I think it’s a bad cable…
there is’tn really anything else what could go wrong if you see the login page..

I use an adaptor to USB and a Null cable that i made myself.
The problem could be the handmade cable but it works just fine when i plug the rb532.
