I’ve got an AP running 2.9.8. I’m attempting to get into it to upgrade it to 2.9.10 and change some settings. To the best of my memory, there is no firewall or service rule restrictions. My local Winbox can see it when I click on “…”. My CPE sees it when I do an IP scan of that subnet (actually sees two different IPs that I have assigned to it, however with the same MAC address). Same results when I choose the other wireless card in that AP. It does pick up a new MAC address for the AP when I associate to the other SSID. When I associate to the other SSID, however, it does not pick up the AP on an IP scan. When I say it doesn’t work I mean that it times out, not refused or anything like that. When working from my local WinBox, I am attempting to connect to the AP’s MAC address.
Since laptops are hard to come by, any ideas without connecting via the Ethernet (only way I’ve been able to get in so far)? Setting change recommendations if I do connect via Ethernet to remove this little problem I’m having? I am getting ready to move from everything on one subnet and hopefully bridged to different IP networks and routing if that makes a difference.
