can't decrease tx power on RB 911

Hi all,

We had changed some single polarized (Metal Groove) ptp links into dual polarized RB 911 links. We had used manual tx power settings on the Metal Grooves to decrease the tx power. It worked well, but since when we have been using the new RB 911’s, we can’t decrease the tx power. If I set the tx power mode into manual and fill in dBm values in the tx power tab, the current tx power tab shows the default tx power values.
I have tried it with ROS 5.25. Anybody have experienced it yet?

Try all rates fixed instead of card rates

I have tried the manual setting, to fine tuning the radio in each modulation type. It works well any other board except RB 911.

I’ve seen this also on RB951G-2HnD and RB2011UAS-2HnD.

Apparently it is a chipset issue…

Like explained already. You can use only tx-power-mode=all-rates-fixed or use the frequency-mode regulatory-domain for lowering the tx-power signal, due to limitations of the chipset.
