Can't get 10Gb on crs326-24s+2q+rm

Hi.
I’m using crs326-24s+2q+rm for our servers, all links are 10Gb (On devices’ network card and Mikrotik interface are displayed 10Gb ).I have tested iperf between both servers. But the result is never higher than 2Gb. Is there anything should I do to gain 10Gb speed?
Thanks for your help!

Make sure you are not passing any traffic through the CPU, e.g. firewall filters, bridges with VLAN interfaces in them (use the “native” VLAN on bridges!), routing or IP firewall, etc. What you see is most likely due to the CPU having to do work rather than the switch chip (been there, done that…)

It’s quite strange when I transfer files between 2 Servers it can up to 5Gb (Maybe it is limited by my SSD disk speed) but with iperf I can not see that high speed. All servers are in the same vlan, there is no routing or firewall between them. Is there any other way to measure network speed ?
Thanks.

Is the iperf test also directly server to server? Is the 5Gbps file transfer through the switch?

You need to provide more details and context. Seeing around 2Gbps is almost certainly due to CPU intervention, instead of switch chip only. We pass over 10Gbps on a CRS317 and it barely registers CPU usage at 1-2%.

With that device if traffic is going via CPU you will probably only see about 500Mb/s transfer.

Best will be to provide full config as a starting point

You have to give more subtleties and setting. Seeing around 2Gbps is in all likelihood because of CPU mediation, rather than switch chip as it were. We ignore 10Gbps on a CRS317 and it scarcely enlists CPU use at 1-2%.

Erm… that’s my exact same post, but with some words swapped out for different words, meaning the same. Is this a spam attempt…?

Hi all
Exactly we do not do much here with CRS326 switch, CRS326 is running SwitchOs with 3 Vlans configured on that, 2 servers running iperf is in the same Vlan. We guarantee there is no filter or layer3 here.

Thanks

Which release of SWOS are you running? I think 2.12 had issues if you had flow control activated on a port.
Regardless this looks like something you need to e-mail support as other here on the forum can get better speeds that this.
