I am having this odd problem I have ros installed as a vm on esxi. My isp provides gigabit internet but for some reason the mikrotik caps out at about 250mbit. when i use my isp modem/router i get full gigabit or when i use untangle on the esxi I get gigabit its only the routeros that wont do it. Its a pppoe connection. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen.
Are you running x86 or CHR?

try the chr in the nearby host. It could perform better as mirotik claims there are some optimizations and “better” ethernet drivers. Not sure of that, but may be it could help.
