Cant get local wireless interface to join CAPsMAN

Hi folks, I am new to all this and likely just doing something silly… I expect to be saying that quire bit for a while…

OK So… LAN and two managed AP’s up, third configured and tested but not physically installed yet.
Router is RB2011UiAS-2HnD updated o latest firmware.
It took me a bit of time and fiddling to set up CAPsMAN and get the APs to be recognised and configured but it seems to be ok… I expect there ill be profile changes as I learn but it working, I am using it now.
HOWEVER… The wireless interface in the router running as he manager int being discovered by the CAPsMAN.
When I set the interface to CAP mode it displays the 'Managed by CAPsMAN but the settings do not change and no new CAP interface shows up, explaining the la k of setting change but not much else.

I have tried ether2 and bridge as discovery interfaces and also Bridge as both bridge and none.
I also tried an initial interface setting of both Bridge AP and Station with both the above…
I even tried to add a CAP interface manually but if that is what is required I am going to need some help with the minimum number of settings required. I added the Bridge MAC and radio MAC but couldn’t find a radio name, other than wlan1, which I suspect inst right.

Please someone do me a huge favour and tell me how and where I am missing something obvious, or just being plain dim…

I am having a couple of other minor problems with settings and google home but I would like to deal with one thing at a time tarting with basic configuration.
Happy to post config info but A don’t know where to find it and B what is relevant… Sorry

Cheers,
Al

I’m no expert, but I just went through his myself and my issue was I had to configure the CAPsMan address to the loopback address on the wifi interface.

Log into router admin>Go to Web Config>Wireless> and on the Wifi Interfaces tab, click the “CAP” button.

In the CAPsMan addresses field, type in 127.0.0.1 and hit the Ok button.

Then go back to CAPsMan and see if the additional interfaces show up under the CAP Interface tab.

I hope this works for you.
