Cant mac-telnet from AP to any CPE that is a RB711

Just wondering if anybody can help before I contact support.

We have an AP that is a RB433AH running V5.14 with 25 users off it.
The AP is set for NV2 and 802.11n.
The CPEs are a mixture of RB411 and RB711 all running V5.11.

I can mac-telnet from the AP to any RB411 but can not to any RB711.
The mac-telnet window loads OK and I enter the user-name and password.
Then after a period it displays Disconnected in the window bar.
I can Winbox to any CPE though.
Nothing shows up in the log for that particular CPE either.

I tried upgrading a RB711 to V5.17 but no difference.

Has anyone come across this??

After sending this problem to Mikrotik support it is now all sorted.

The RB711 is shipped with default settings for the mac-telnet server interface set to ether1.

That is why we could not access the RB711 from the AP.

The RB411 is shipped with default settings for the mac-telnet server interface set to “all”.

I’ve now added a line to our update script for our CPEs to set the mac-telenet server interface to wlan1.

And it’s not all RB711s, either. My RB711-2Hn CPE units are all set as you say (thanks for finding this bug). But my RB711UA-2HnD AP units all came set properly to interface “all.”
