Can't modify Forum Profile signature

Dear Admin team,

I’m trying to change my profile signature but I can’t as I get the following message:

Your signature contains 175 characters.
The maximum number of allowed characters is 1.

I also see BBcode is disabled for signatures.

I created my signature some time ago and can’t modify it anymore. Do you plan to fix this issue or am I stuck with my old signature?

im new to this forum. how can we have a signature with only 1 character?
is this basically saying dont use one?

Exactly.
Too much spam via that channel so it was restricted already quite a while ago.
