can't remote login rb751U

i can not remote login rb751U form port 1
but port 2 is OK
is some body can help me to setup how to login from prot 1

my ROS version is 5.11

The default configuration is that port1 is the “WAN” port and therefore you can’t access it from there. Of course since port1 is where you are usually feeding it power, it does seem odd to have to connect one ethernet cable to port1, just supplying power, and another ethernet cable to one of the other ports to actually log in…!

I fixed this problem by adding port1 “lan1” to the bridge, which in the default configuration has ports lan2-lan5 on it.

It’s ok.

Many thanks.

Hello there…

I bring up this tread so i wont open a new one…

I m trying to set a lot of rb751u-2hnd as access points for a hotel. I have a main router, and i supply a
switch. From this switch i give ethernet cables to the rb751u’s. Each AP is powered by ethernet with POE
to port1. I need to control each AP through this ethernet cable, so i will not have to put a new cable…
I tried the above instructions and i can connect if i put the cable directly from my computer to the rb751u, but
when i put the cable from the switch to the rb751u i cannot connect…

Can you please help me?
Thank you so much

Any help please?
This is a major problem that need to be set up in order to work the AP with the POE option…
I wonder why the company has those settings as defaults, and i wonder why they dont have specific instructions for when someone
wants to use the poe option…
