Im trying to upgrade my routerboard 112, and it has the old version router os and key its time has expired to upgrade, but normis said that there is no longer an experation, how do i upgrade the router? Can i use FTP to upload the files? I can paste router os vs 3rc13 into files but it will not use it because experation time is up. ? -Jordan

I figured someone would say that. Its almost the answer to everything lol 
sorry for such a short answer, was short on time. netinstall gets you past that 2.9.28 bridge where the licensing changed. you cant ftp an update past that because the < .28 license doesnt understand that, but netinstall does i guess.
