Hi MikroTik, i can get to know the date of the start of sales RouterBoard cAP 2n
**m**AP?
After the MUM on USA…
no
RBCM2N (cAP-2n) https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=349019&fcc_id=TV7RBCM2N
OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Ceiling!!!

I want IT!

Probably the final name is CeilingM-2nD (or M is for MIMO and D is not needed…)
Cool, looks interesting! Looks like Routerboards can soon replace some stuff Ubiquiti still has better equipment for! But it seems logical following the introduction of the WiFi controller software. ![]()
Think I just wet my pants! Can’t wait ![]()
Really nice device. It’s needed. Just from the pictures I see two remarks : it should be purely white and it should be much smaller.
Wow! I see Mikrotiks’ started conquiring wireless market. This is good tendency. And that’s why we need roaming support even more ![]()
it is very important for me this information, because we are planning to buy a large batch of UNIFI, but preferably, this equipment
Please, people on this forum, don’t start this again…
This product has NOT been announced
There is no official word that they are even going to bring this to market
Even if it is released at some point, we’re looking at 6 months or more away
Even if a projected release date was given and they didn’t make it, there are reasons for that (bugs, issues with software, needs another hardware revision, etc.) and rather then flame and bash them for it, support them!
And even then if it’s released, there might be bugs or other issues/design features you would want to test first
So no, we don’t know when it’s coming, if it’s coming, what it will do and how bug free it will be. We all want it, and you can write that “Oh, looking forward to a product like this from Routerboard/Mikrotik” but please PLEASE don’t start the threats and that it’s taking too long and complain complain. Mikrotik/Routerboard is already kind enough to often show us products it’s working on in advance, but every time the forum fills up with “Why isn’t it here yet, why take so long, I have an order of 2.6 Billion dollars and we will go to the competitor, bla bla bla”.
Thank you ![]()
I’m definitely not on the WANT MOAR NOW OR BAD STUFF WILL HAPPEN bandwagon but those of us at the US Mum were treated to a fine new products announcement that included the CAP2n and a nice glossy new products for Q4 2014/Q1 2015 brochure which also features the CAP2n. I think it would be entirely feasible to see it available for order inside your six month window. I know one of the units was given away in the raffle at the closing ceremonies. It even had the correct packaging.
Cheers!
Casey
2.4 single chain only? Hence the 10/100 port.
Cell AP 2n 802.11n 300Mbit i.e. 150 Mbps for 40 MHz channel . Cell AP 2n has only 100Mbit ethernet ?
Do not understand ?
(The AR9331 integrates two Gbit MACs plus and five-port Fast Ethernet switch)
Oh my god AR9331 it supports 802.11n operations up to 72 Mbps for 20 MHz and 150 Mbps for 40 MHz channel.
one antenna for TX and 2nd antenna RX for better two-way traffic ![]()
Allready in stock …

IMHO, Mikrotik is a bit late with this device. The price is good, but configuration is outdated.
Now when Ubiqity, Netgear and even D-Link (sorry for saying this name, hope no one is going to have heart attack
) are selling “home & office” access points and routers with 802.11ac/gigabit Wi-Fi, dual band (including 5GHz), MIMO and beamforming…
Would pay double or even triple price from $50 Mikrotik ask for cAP2n, if they produce analogue for UniFi AP AC. Currently we are using 3 pcs of “old” UniFi AP, which price tag of $69 is not so far from MTK. But, unlike new cAP 2n, those UniFi producs are proven and have no problems (other then not being AC).
Are their any plans for 802.11ac capable APs from Mikrotik?
We have many interesting plans.
cAP is good because it is very low cost.
Customers are not buying plans. Even they might be interesting. Customers are buying working solutions.
I was answering this:
Are there any plans for
Normis, thank you for reply. Can you at least give some timeframe? I’m monitoring prices for AP AC (hoping they will go down and I will get myself one of such). Currently they are not yet “affordable”. But if they will drop below $200 I will buy it quickly. Unless Mikrotik will have smth competitive in function and stability and, as always, price.
