cAP AC 5G WLAN not connecting to CAPsMAN

Hi… I have cAP AC as CAP connecting to RB3011 with CAPsMAN. As soon as I enter COUNTRY to CAPsMAN configuration, the 5GHz WLAN on cAP AC will not connect. Whe removing COUNTRY, it connects and working.

Could you please share your settings? (/export hide-sensitive)
Did you configure your channel manually?

no.. i have auto channel…

and i forgot to mention.. the same config works with hAP AC which I have on the same network. when i add country, it stops working. note, that 2.4GHz is workign with country set

I’d assume that the cAP actually does connect to the CAPsMAN (caps-man remote-cap print will tell you the truth), but the 5 GHz interface coes not come up immediately.

In most countries, 5 GHz channels are subject to regulation, which usually classifies them as “indoor” and “outdoor” ones, so the installation parameter of the caps-man configuration also plays a role. But first of all, most countries require that the device was listening before using certain channels, for as long as 10 minutes, before starting to transmit, as the frequencies used by meteoradars fit into the 5 GHz band. So maybe it is enough to wait for 10 minutes and the 5 GHz interfaces will come up? Also, aggregation of 4 20-MHz channels (XXXX) is possibly prohibited in your country?

as i said… with hAP AC it’s working immediately even with country set.

EDIT: after setting country and letting it as is… after exactly 10 minutes, the 5G iface comes up… so maybe the “listening” regulation is true…

but in the log on the capsman side, there is record, that 5ghz-cAP_AC: selected channel 5640/20-eCee/ac/DP(27dbm), so channel is selected by CAP, but takes long to come up. :frowning: any idea why the hAP AC unit comes up immediately with the same settings.

installation parameter set/unset makes no difference.
