This is my first post, and I consider myself a networking noob so hopefully what I am asking makes sense.
Recently, thanks to a this wiki https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Layer2_misconfiguration#VLAN_in_bridge_with_a_physical_interface I found I was not utilizing my hardware switching at all on my Cloud Router. After updating this, I found I had much better bandwidth from my cAP AC.
I had configured my cAP AC the same before, where it had vlan interfaces for each vlan, then placed in a vlan bridge with vlan filtering.
I tried to make the cAP AC match my switch configuration and offload to the hardware switch but I later found out the hardware switch on the cAP AC is only for ether1 and ether2. (I don’t use ether2)
After setting up my cAP AC to utilize the hardware offload, I found my wireless throughput went from 350+ mpbs to about 50 mbps.
My question is, is there a way to utilize the hardware switching with wireless interfaces, or should I go back to the vlan interfaces on vlan bridges?
