Hello,
I have a strange wifi problem with my setup.
There is only 1 device that keeps having wifi problems. A J7 2017. It initially works and then it keeps loading slowly webpages if it finally loads them. It is really irritating.
I was almost certain that it was the smartphone’s wifi problem until i tested it to another access point which it worked flawlessly.
Just to clear things up the test was as follows:
CAP Ac to hEX - Problems
An old TP-Link wr841nd with OpenWrt (which has served me well in the past) to hEX - Problems
A speedport plus modem/router/access point from my ISP (which i still have to use in order for the VOIP to work) to hEX - Working flawlessly
When i connect directly to the wifi of my ISP’s speedport i have no connection with any mikrotik. It gets its own IP from the provider and generally “plays” on its own.
So i am thinking that since CAP Ac and TP-Link go through hEX it’s got to be a hEX problem and not CAP Ac’s. Probably settings related problem.
Might i add that every other wifi device is not having problems. Sonoffs, Shellies, Smarphones, Tablets, IP Cameras etc. Just this smartphone, J7 2017.
Has anyone experienced any similar behavior to specific devices?
p.s. I forgot to mention that i’ve been struggling with the new routeros updates with constant lag (sonoffs/shellies wouldn’t turn on immediately etc) and inconsistency so i reverted back to 6.46.8 (Long-term).
Thank you
