cAP ax power consumption

Hi all,

I’m considering purchasing the cAP ax. It is specified to use max. 11 W without attachments. Rather than the max power consumption, I’d like to know what the typical power consumption is under low (home) usage, say, up to 10 connected but idle devices.

I’ve found similar discussions for the cAP ac here cAP ac power consumption (and discussions on other forums), indicating 3-5 W may be typical for the ac. Could anyone share measurements for the ax?

cAP AX uses a bit more power then cap AC.

I'm looking at 4 cAP AX installed in a shop 210km away from me, 1 which has 4 clients, the others 0 or 2 (it's weekend ...sorry for that :face_with_hand_over_mouth:. Connected clients are local gear providing POS info or paint mixing machines).
On CRS328 which provides POE, it shows constantly less then 8W for each of them (it fluctuates a bit between 6.4 and 7.6W).

6.6W for a cAP AX idle with just a few clients connected.
