Hi,
Password forgotten, and I am searching for a solution where I can remotely or directly from CAPsMAN to which CAP ac in CAP mode is configured and connected to perform it’s reset.
I do not have physical access to this device but it is configured and working such CAP. I have access to Router where CAPsMAN is running.
Is there any possibility to Etherboot/factory reset/CAP mode reset such CAP?
No phisical acces, No reset.
Hack:
Force downgrade to 6.42.10
On that version the new user database format are unreadable, you obtain admin with blank password,
then upgrade again to 6.47.10 and set new password.
That is the clever one
, I will try that in a few days when I’d be on site.
Just to be clear, can you confirm if I am eligible to downgrade CAP by using such procedure?
- Put 6.42.10 package to router to specific path by using for example:
/tool fetch url=https://download.mikrotik.com/routeros/6.42.10/routeros-arm-6.42.10.npk dst-path=/capupgrade/routeros-arm-6.42.10.npk
- In CAPsMAN settings under Manager I’d set Package Path to: /capupgrade, and Upgrade Policy to: none
- In CAPsMAN in Remote CAP I choose CAP’s one by one (not to loose WiFi simultaneously in each area) and I click Upgrade
What if factory version is newer than 6.42.10?
If you want make this question, is implicit you already know the answer.
Why ask uselessly?
