cAP ethernet up with disconnected

Hello,
I’m experiencing a strange behaviour with a couple of cAP devices.
Originally they were using for testing and lab, so before putting them on production network I did a complete config reset without loading default config.
Now, ethernet has a strange behavour. If i power on the device, then I can MAC-winbox (or IP-winbox, tried both) to the device flawlessy. But as soon as I disconnect the ether cable and reconnect it, I’m interface stops responding and I’m unable to reach the device using either IP or MAC Winbox.
After further digging, I discovered that ether1 is still up & running even when cable is disconnected. So, from routerOS perspective, ether1 interface is up and running even with no cable connected.
I’ve several other cAP around there, but never saw such thing. The only way to recover is power-cycle the device with the ethernet port connected.
Using routerOS 6.45.7.

Am I missing a config parameter?
Thanks for help
