Hi guys,

I have bought an cAP2n acces point. Until now it seems to be alright.

But I have the following situation:

I have connected the AP to a 192.168.2.0/24 network. When I ping it from my computer which is on an 192.168.1.0/24 network I get no reply back. These two networks are connected to the same RB1100AHx2 router, on different interfaces.

This only happens with the Mikrotik AP. Any other address from 192.168.2.0/24 network responds to ping from 192.168.1.0/24. Also Winbox won’t work from 192.168.1.0/24.

The AP will respond to ping from any 192.168.2.0/24 hosts and Winbox is working from 192.168.2.0/24.


Any ideas why I can’t access the AP from a different subnet ?

Are you sure the default route is properly set on the CAP’s?
