Capped Usage

I know this has more than likely been asked a thousand times (so apologies) and I have search through the forums but am still confused.

I would like to create capped plans for users whereby when they reach their usage limit the are effectively throttled down to modem speed. Bandwidth in this country is very very expensive… and I would like my users to stop paying excess usage charges as it causes me a nightmare on disputed usage excesses.

  1. Do I use queues and if so can I have differing one for each plan.
  2. Is there any example scripts that are available
  3. Is it easier to authenticate and adjust the user via mac or ip
  4. Is it possible to alert the user of their usage prior to throttling

you can use Hotspot+Usermanager to do this

normis - thanks for the reply will start going through usermanager and see if I am not as dumb as I think
