"Capping" users when they reach there limit?

Hi guys,

I am new to Mikrotik, i have been using it now for 6 months and i am really enjoying it. I have just started playing around with PPPoE and have also got bandwidth limiting to work great.

My question is, am i able to set limits to the amount of bandwidth a certain user can download/upload. The user is then disconnected when he/she reaches that limit, and is automatically re-connected at the end of the month again?

Is RouterOS able to do this?

You can do this only with an external RADIUS server and some scripting on that… Search the forum - I’m quite sure such a situation has been discussed here some time ago.
