I have a had a few caps-man installs where I get a call a few days later about spotty wifi. Log back into the router running caps-man and it shows one of the APs it is supposed to control as disconnected.
Having someone do a wireless scan shows that the AP is back in default mode… transmitting a “Mikrotik SSID”. Have a tech on site Press and hold reset as they power it up. Count to ten then release. A few moments later the AP shows up again in caps-man.
Any ideas?
Good to see no one else sees this.
Just set up a new system. Set up Caps-Man. Attached WAPs. Didn’t do passwords or firmware updates. Powered down WAP. Moved it to location… powered back up and LOOK at that it defaulted.
Just logged into a site when client was complaining that signal was “poor”.
Connect to the Router and one of the cAPs is not there. Do an IP scan and it is listed. Someone will be going on site Monday… But I bet this unit is defaulted now too.
I am the only one having this happen?
Sure enough… wAP ac was in default mode. Pressed and held the reset button for 10 seconds as connecting power… went back into caps-mode and the router picked it right up and set the prior config.
