I have Capsman provisioning a dozen Mikrotik AX APs (hAP AX3 and hAP AX S). They use either the Wireless or WiFi-Mediatek drivers. All devices are running the latest ROS v 23.2. Several of these APs are provisioned with reduced transmit power. How can I check the actual power being used, at the AP itself?
AFAIK you can't. Why not check on the CAPsMAN?
Take into account that if you have not set the transmit power in your CAPsMAN, the AP configuration takes over. So set it in CAPsMAN for it to be spread.
I'm setting lower output power in CapsMan. I want to know if this is actually being implemented at the AP itself.
Are you using Winbox? The transmission power is shown on /interface/wifi level. In the app the transmission power is shown at wifi-status.
Again, AFAIK it is not available on the CAP.
Can't see it either. But it seems to work. When I adapted the radio transmission strength, the transfer speeds adapted and noise too.
