CAPsMAN and Hotspot setup

Hi

I am trying to setup a small hotspot free WiFi for a Guest House.

Could someone advise on how I could setup the following devices to use CAPsMAN and Hotspot.

I have a Mikrotik RB951Ui-2HnD as my CAPsMAN and Using its WiFi as CAP

I also have 3 RBcAP2nD which I would like to be managed by CAPsMAN and I would like all of the CAPS to broadcast the same SSID and point to the Hotspot on the RB951Ui-2HnD were I can then create users for the Guests under user-manager.

I cant really find anything on the internet regarding setting up CAPsMAN with Hotspot included.

If anyone could help with a basic setup like above ? or point me in the correct direction.

I managed to get CAPsMAN to work but cannot get the hotspot to work with it, hence my above question.

CAPsMAN and Hotspot are different things, consider each alone:

  • configure a bridge interface, let’s say “BRI-GUESTS”
  • configure capsman with datapath to forward all to “BRI-GUESTS”
  • configure hotspot on “BRI-GUESTS”

I Did this but it didn’t work. all the users were marked ‘D’ dynamic and the hotspot didn’t work.
