CAPsMAN help on L009 and joining hAP ac lite

I have a L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN which is replacing my RB2011UiAS-2HnD. I have CAPsMAN setup on the RB2011(controller) with two hAP ac lites controlled by CAPsMAN. From what I found in the documentation the hAP ac lites won’t be able to be controlled by CAPsMAN on the new L009 because of the router OS changes on L009, but I’m not 100% sure.

Can I still control the hAP ac lites with CAPsMAN on the L009 or does this mean I need to upgrade to the hAP ax lite with router OS 7?

Since 7.13 you can use old capsman on L009 if you load wireless package and remove wifi-qcom.
But then you loose the wireless radio on L009 (wireless package is not compatible with AX radio).
And I guess you also have a use for that one since your 2011 also had a radio ?

That or indeed upgrade APs to AX Lite.

From what I read in the docs I figured I was going to have to upgrade and from what you said it sounds more worth it to do that.

I’m not sure what you mean when you said “And I guess you also have a use for that one since your 2011 also had a radio ?”. Do you mind explaining?

I upgraded the 2011 to the L009 for AX and all ports are 1GB. I’m no networking pro, just kinda of finding my way as I go. This is for home use.

Did you use wifi on 2011 ? I guess you did ?

Otherwise it would have made no sense to upgrade to L009 with wifi, if you did not use the radio on 2011 the normal version would have been enough.
