Hi guys,
I’ve been deploying mikrotik setups in a few countries with a few configurations for a while now but we keep coming up on this problem.
Here’s the setup:
x86 Router Os 6.42.1 >>> this is the backbone of the setup and hosts 2 networks. 192.168.1.x and 172.0.0.x. It runs Capsman and hotspot for the 172.0.0.x range.
3 x wAP >>> these are connected to the Capsman
When we reset all configuration and set things up from scratch, capsman provisions perfectly, and hotspot pages come up.
Then… we get a power cut. It’s south asia. It’s normal. (UPS runs out because the duration of power cut is unpredictable. sometimes Saturday 2am, etc)
When the systems come back up:
- x86 is running fine. 192.168.1.x range is perfect
- capsman provisions
- users can connect to the wifi but NO LOGIN PAGE APPEARS
Can’t figure out why this is. With firewall fully disabled, it still doesn’t appear.
I’ve got a feeling that is something to do with - settings on the interfaces / bridge / vlans that packets getting lost?
