Capsman on hEX S with hAP ac^2

Hi
Should i prepare the hAP ac2 to be controlled by CapsMan on hEX s ?
I am ordering cAP ac.

I reviewed several youtubes that claims that capsman configuration takes 5 min.
I am missing some parts of the setup. Do i config the cap interface on the capsman or on the cap device?

Can capsman could be working in hAP ac^2 configured as WISP ap or it has to be CAP?

Sorry for the newbie questions, please be gentle

If you want to use ac2 as wifi AP and a switch basically then this is an option. I recommend using hap ac2 as Capsman server as it is more powerfull. Read Mikrotik wiki to setup simple Capsman network.

It doesn’t make sense to use CAPsMAN on the (single) device it is managing. So, no…just config the hAP ac2 as preferred.
I use CAPsMAN if there are three or more accesspoints involved.

I thought to use the hEX s as the capsman manager and if i would add more cAP ac or 2nd hAP ac^2 it will fit it.
doesn’t it make any sense?

Sure, makes sense to manage a network from a single device

CAPsMAN is the manager where you do all the configuation
CAPs is the slave mode you select on all accesspoints that will be managed by CAPsMAN

Any wireless capable MikroTik device can be a CAPs

Please read this Wiki for configuration (though it is a bit outdated):
