Help me please to understand, if i use Mikrotik RB2011UiAS-2HnD with HAP ac lite, and setup CAPsMAN config between this two routers,
will RB2011UiAS-2HnD be working as wifi access point and controller CAPsMAN simultaneously, or only as controller and as wifi access wouldn’t work?
Does CAPsMAN work between this routers ?
Yes, 2011 will be CAPSMAN and AP simultanesly.
You have just switch on CAP mode for WiFi interfaces of 2011 and join CAPSMAN which is located on this 2011.

On mine rb2011, I cant get this working.
I have CAPsMAN running on rb2011, there’s cAP and hAP_ac_lite in it and it works.
When I turn on CAP on rb2011, CAPsMAN cant see it.
What Im missing?

I’ve got rb2011uias-2hnd as CAPSMAN+CAP and RB941, 962 and 952 as CAPs.
Alright, I got it working, I had to put CAPsMAN ip address into CAP field.
Now, in CAPsMAN I have rb2011 CAP but its dynamic, I cant set up the channel for it or anything else…
And another thing.
I have 192.168.11.0/24 network, with 11.1 for rb2011 and 11.2, 11.3 for hAP and cAP.
CAPsMAN is handing IP’s from 192.168.12.0/24 network for wifi clients.
Now, wifi clients cant ping each other and wifi clients can ping 11.0/24 network.
But …
Clients of 192.168.11.0 network cannot ping wifi clients.
Ideas?

I figured it out.
Laptops I used to test were routed thru VPN so thats why I couldnt ping.
Once I took them off the address lists for VPN, everything worked.
