Capsman V1, ap/router as a client not working

Hi,

I have Capsman v1 working with clients (laptops, phones, tablets)… but when I try to connect a router client… it simply doesn’t connect (nothing in the logs).

RouterOS v 6.30.1
Tried with all encryption variants (WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, aes-ccm, tkip) and even without… tried with Tomato v1.28 on WRT54GL and on a TP-LINK access point. Tried with: Wireless client, ethernet/wireless bridge…

The result is always the same… the router doesn’t connect to the Capsman wlan…and there’s nothing in the logs on RouterOS (enabled topics: wireless, caps, debug).

Any ideas?

Just to be clear… I want to connect a client router/access point to the Capsman wlan NOT to manage the ap/router with capsman…

Try enable debug logging from CAPsMAN.
Try take wireless packet capture, by separate Mikrotik or similar.

May be it clarify situation.

I have enabled all the CAPSMAN, CAP, WIRELESS, DEBUG logging… with no success… the client (router) doesn’t show up anywhere…
