Hi,
First of all - a couple of disclaimers: I am not a network engineer, and I am really a true beginner when it comes to router configuration. Also, I have searched the forum for a solution to my problem, but I’ve been unable to find answers I can understand. So bear with me..
I have a Mikrotik hAP ac as my primary router at home, and a couple of wAP ac’s to extend my wireless network throughout the house. I’ve configured a couple of wireless networks on the hAP ac, 2.4GHz and 5Ghz primary networks and a virtual AP with Radius authentication for my colleagues visiting (eduroam). These configs works like a charm.
Now - I want to “transfer” those configurations (all three) from the hAP ac to the wAP ac’s using CAPsMAN - but I am not able to figure out how to do that. I can of course manually enter the same SSID, Passphrase and EAP Radius Accounting for the configs in the CAPsMAN - but that means double maintenance. It it possible to tell the CAPsMAN to use the wireless configurations on the router itself, and pass them on to the APs/CAPs? (I also want to assign a different pool of IP-adresses to my “Radius-wlan” that my primary network. I’ve been able to do so on the hAP ac itself, but unable to “forward the settings” to the CAPs via CAPsMAN).
Does this even make sense?
Anyone able to help, or point me in the direction of som relevant docs?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
